Oxgangs Care started in 2001 as a service to bring people together to help reduce isolation, It has grown since then and is now a registered Day Centre with a Befriending service for people over the age of 60, in the EH10 & EH13 area. Our office was small with the services were divided out in the community; we now have larger premises where we carry out all our activities under one roof. We have come a long way!

We work in partnership with local people, other voluntary agencies and statutory service providers to enable older people in Oxgangs and the surrounding areas, who are disadvantaged by illness, disability and responsibilities of care etc., to realise their own personal aspirations and to participate fully in the life of the community. We are a fully inclusive service and will endeavour to be respectful and sensitive to the cultural, religious and gender needs of everyone who uses our service.
